Transformer

TRANSFORMER     Is the device that transfers electric energy from one alternating current circuit to one or more other circuits, either increasing (stepping up) or reducing (stepping down) the voltage.     Transformers are used to increase or decrease the alternating voltages in electric power applications. PARTS OF TRANSFORMER     There are three parts of Transformer 1.  Primary winding This produced magnetic flux when it is connected to an electrical source. 2.  Secondary winding The flux produced by the primary winding passes through the core will link with the secondary winding. This winding is also on the same core and gives the desired output of the Transformer. 3.  Core The magnetic flux produced by the primary winding passes through this path linked with secondary winding are creates a closed magnetic circuit. TYPES OF TRANSFORMER     According to the design, Transformer can be classified into two categ...

Change over switch

CHANGE OVER SWITCH      Is an electrical switch that switches a load between two sources. The main purpose of this switch is to switch electrical power between two sources without any fault easily, manually, or automatically.     THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF CHANGE OVER SWITCH  Automatic change over switch Manual change over switch What is automatic change over switch? Is an electrical switch that switches to the other power source automatically once the main source stops providing power. What is a manual change over switch? Is an electrical switch that is used to switch to the other power source manually.  Change over switches are categorized as follows   2 Poles (N and L)  3 Poles (L1, L2, and L3) 4 Poles (L1, L2, L3, and N) PRECAUTION MEASURE BEFORE THE INSTALLATION   Disconnect the power source before servicing, repairing or installing electrical equipments. Use the proper cable in size. Never try to work on electricity without p...
