  Voltage V oltage is the pressure from an electrical circuit's power source that pushes charged electrons (current) through a conducting loop, enabling them to do work such as illuminating light .  The term Volt(V) recognizes Italian physicist Alessandro Volta (1745-1827), inventor of the voltaic pile—the forerunner of today's household battery. Exponents

What are powers or exponents? Using  powers  is a shorthand way of writing repeated multiplication using the same number. For example, rather than writing 4 x 4 x 4 it can be simplified to 4³. This is read as 'four to the power of three'. This sort of notation is used when finding the area of a square or the  volume  of a cube. Transformer

  TRANSFORMER     Is the device that transfers electric energy from one alternating current circuit to one or more other circuits, either increasing (stepping up) or reducing (stepping down) the voltage.     Transformers are used to increase or decrease the alternating voltages in electric power applications. PARTS OF TRANSFORMER     There are three parts of Transformer 1.  Primary winding This produced magnetic flux when it is connected to an electrical source. 2.  Secondary winding The flux produced by the primary winding passes through the core will link with the secondary winding.
